The PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) has awarded SCSD $162,313 for school safety and security improvements. Our funds will pay for additional police services, additional emergency radios for our schools and buses, safety improvements to doors across the district, a transaction window for CHS, security alarms, and additional cameras and electronic locks.

Homewood at Martinsburg will display CHS student artwork during the month of March 2020. The exhibit is open to the public daily from 9 am to 4 pm in the Southview Building.

$34,691 has been awarded for the purchase of a Double Stack Combi Oven.

The Ski Club field trip for Tuesday, February 18, 2020 has been postponed and is rescheduled for Wednesday, February 19th. Members of Ski Club should direct questions to Mr. Fitzpatrick or Mr. Keith.

In celebration of the 130th anniversary of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Mr. Tim Harclerode, CEO of Conemaugh Nason, provided SCSD's principals and superintendent with a check for $250 to be applied toward health and wellness initiatives for the District.

The Spring Cove School District has been named a $25,000 grant recipient for the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education program, sponsored by the Bayer Fund. The District plans to use the grant to equip its new Innovation Labs in Spring Cove Elementary School and Central High School with STEM resources.

Clint Curfman placed 1st in the Rotary District 7360 Conference on May 18. He is the first winner from the Morrison's Cove Rotary Club to win the local, regional, and district level.

The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) covers uninsured kids and teens up to age 19.
