Congratulations to Varsity Football Coach Dave Baker, who achieved his 200th career win after the Dragons defeated Bald Eagle Area on September 11th!

All SCSD schools will operate on a fully remote instructional model beginning December 1, 2020 through December 22, 2020, and will be closed for the holidays from December 23, 2020 through January 3, 2021.

The holiday break begins on Wednesday, December 23. All Spring Cove Schools will be reopening for in-person instruction five days per week beginning on Monday, January 4, 2021. Parents/Guardians should refer to their email for a letter from Dr. Baker with more details. We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season and look forward to seeing your child in school in the new year!

Now that we are back to school, the District continues to work closely with the Department of Health regarding contract tracing and quarantine recommendations, as we have done since we reopened this summer. Families are notified regarding possible exposure and the need to quarantine, as applicable.  We provide as much information and details as we are allowed through HIPAA and FERPA laws. The health and safety of our students and staff are of key importance.  District buildings are cleaned and disinfected daily in accordance with the District’s Health and Safety Plan. Our students and staff have been complying with the requirements of our Health and Safety Plan and recommendations of the Department of Health. We wish to express that there is NOT a COVID outbreak in the Spring Cove School District.

As we approach the start of the school year, we want to reassure our school community that we ARE reopening in person, five days per week, beginning on August 25. We are excited for the start of the school year and look forward to seeing your child soon!

We are aware that a local business has scheduled an unofficial prom for Central High School students.  We stress that this event is not sanctioned by or endorsed by the Spring Cove School District.  While we do not have control over the independent decisions that individuals make, we are continuing to encourage all of our families to remain proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by following the CDC recommendations on hand washing and social distancing.

At the Regular Meeting of the SCSD Board of Directors on July 20, 2020, the Board approved the SCSD Phased Reopening Health and Safety Plan. In accordance with this plan, SCSD is excited to be moving forward with the plan to fully reopen for in-person instruction on our school campuses in the fall. Due to the recent restriction limiting the size of meetings to 25 individuals, meetings of the Spring Cove School District Board of Directors will be offered virtually until further notice.
